Fran Wilson

Recently I had the opportunity to review a variety of products by Fran Wilson what I got were:

MOODmatcher Lipstick: I got a six personalized colors of lipstick which changes color when applied to your lip from pink to green, peach to light blue, pink to orange and so on. Pick a shade you like as it lasts up to twelve hours  I made the mistake of putting a shade of pink on and when it changed colors I hated how it looked and could not take it off. This lipstick is enriched with natural moisturizers using Aloe Vera and Vitamins E. This is also again Kiss Proof, smudge proof, non-transferable and non-drying. This is great as you can go from work to play and can lift your mood as it reacts to your lips PH to create a one of a kind shade. I like this idea because it reminds me of the mood ring idea where you wore it and it matched what mood you were in.

Retinol Anti-Aging Towelettes: These are made to gently cleanse, tone, take off make up and remove impurities within the pores; Made with Aloe, Ginseng, Green Tea, Vitamin E and Retinol to nourish your skin.

Retinol Starter Kit: Has three products or our skincare which introduces consumers to our anti- aging skincare regimen.

Nourish My Eyes Cucumber Pads: These pads contain natural extracts plus Green Tea to fight free radicals and mulberry to decrease puffiness and lighten under-eye circles.

Results: I love how I felt like I was at the spa with these on and I just relaxed and let all the stress melt away and when I was done with the application of the pads my eyes were less puffy.

Cool Mint Kiss Me Lipgloss: This is infused with peppermint oil which will help you have fresher breathe and the taste on your lips will be yummy as well. When applied your lips will tingle and will help nourish dry, cracked lips.

Younger Lips: is hydrating formula that stimulates the production of collagen to enhance and define your lips. Your lips will feel fuller and plumper. Make sure to visit www.franwilson.com and see all the products they have to offer.

It was hard to pick a favorite product from Fran Wilson so i will just say i love them all.

Bear Creek Candle Company

I received in the mail as part of a product review a Winter Spice scented pillar candle from Bear Creek Candle Company. The scent is wonderful and reminds me of this time of year Fall and Winter. If you love candles you will love this company! The candles are made with natural beeswax and honey. I know I love to burn candles as they are relaxing and the scent fills the room and it just feels homey. They are also great for burning around the holidays or for get together just remember to watch the candle so you do not cause any fires. Bear Creek offers a variety of candles from tapes to pillars. I also did not know that there was a way to burn candles and this information I will share as I never knew this and maybe you have not also. Keep your candles out of a draft. If the flame is flickering then your candle is in a draft and it will burn unevenly and/or drip. Keep your wicks trimmed! Trim your wick each time you relight your candle. Use a wick trimmer or pinch the sooty end off before lighting. How long wicks should be trimmed? 1/4″ is a good starting point. The candle wick in a candle is constantly feeding fuel (the wax) to the flame and a pool of wax is created around it due to the heat. The size of this wax pool can vary due to wick size, ambient air temperature and humidity, thickness of candle, how long it has been burning and other variables. Observation and common sense are your best guides. Candles need oxygen to burn properly. If the wick is too long or contaminated it will impede the flow of oxygen and cause your candle to smoke and burn poorly. Do not allow wick debris to collect in the wax pool. Beeswax pillar candles benefit from a bit of love and attention. For best burning results, burn pillar candles until liquid pool of wax reaches 1/4 inch from edge of candle. Keep wick in center of candle. To prevent pillar candles from boring a hole down the center, burn candles for at least one hour for each inch in diameter (i.e., burn a 3 inch diameter candle for at least 3 hours). Keep an eye on your candle! If the wax threatens to melt through the side, extinguish the candle and let it harden before relighting. The best way to extinguish a pillar candle or votive is by tipping the wick into the wax pool using a wick dipper or other non-flammable object, then straightening the wick to let it cool. This primes the wick for the next burning and eliminates smoking. For taper candles it is best to use a candle snuffer. Never leave a burning candle unattended! Burn candles in proper holders and on a heat-resistant surface. Do not move or touch while hot or while wax is liquid. Trim wick to 1/4 inch before burning. Protect from drafts. Keep out of reach of children. Open flame – use caution and at your own risk. I got this from their website which is http://www.bearcreekcandlecompany.com/ . They are nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains of Evergreen, CO near Bear Creek.

Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops

I received in the mail as part of a product review from Tomoson . Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops. They come in Cherry or Honey and also by the bag or Puck. The Bag has 32 drops and The Puck has 26 drops. I tried the honey and I love honey I opened the bag and you could smell the Carnauba wax they are made with. They are softish but it says do not bite them just suck on them until they are gone. I have a hard time doing that as with your mind and eating gummy type products biting it is the first thing you want to do. They are different in taste for me as well and last a very long time. You can find these at your local store or go to pinebrothers.com/ and see all their products along with nutritional information. I also find the history of this company amazing as it has been around so very long so I have included this with my review.
Ulysses S. Grant was President, the population of America hovered at 39 million, and the telephone was still a pipe dream, when in 1870 J. Herman Pine hung out a confectionery shingle on 8th Street above Walnut in Philadelphia and, along with his brother, sold their first batch of what they called ‘Pine Brothers Glycerine Tablets.’ In an attempt to relieve his own sore throat and those of his family members, Mr. Pine, a former German confectionery maker, determined that by combining the soothing natural qualities of glycerin with the healing properties of gum acacia, he could sooth and mitigate the mild discomfort of a sore throat. Add in some natural flavoring and a sweetener and voila, Pine Brothers Softish Throat Drops were born. “I have discovered something,” Pine wrote, “which will give quick throat relief to thousands afflicted as I was.” He added, “Perhaps I won’t make much money out of this. But I can make people happy, and that’s more important than money.” Mr. Pine was being unduly modest, as his “discovery” would become one of the most successful, most delicious and most unique throat lozenges in the world. Nor has the recipe changed appreciably since it was first introduced to the public over 140 years ago. In 1930 Pine Brothers was sold to the Life Savers Company and continued to flourish. Known for its ‘soft drop consistency,’ Pine Brothers lozenges became a favorite of adults and children alike. The product, which attracted healthiest sales in the eastern and northern states, due to its icy winters, reached its peak popularity in the 1970’s. The company was sold by Life Savers, and then, having been re-sold and acquired a number of times, found itself essentially rudderless and underappreciated; this despite a legion of loyal consumers. Cost cutting changes were made to the original recipes, packaging became stale and marketing non-existent; Pine Brothers began to be made overseas. Sales declined. Recently, Pine Brothers was acquired by the creator and former owner of Airborne, Victoria Knight-McDowell, for her new company 3 Sisters Home Products™. Much time and effort has been spent locating the original Pine Brothers recipes, redesigning the packaging, and creating an exciting yet classic new look. The natural product is once again being made in America, and was launched nationally in fall 2011. And indeed, old Mr. Pine has succeeded yet again in “making people happy.” God bless him!
Try them and see for yourself how much you like them.
